Request for: Astralcomets

Me teaching about modifying ink. What I'm doing now is checking the length of the ink (pulling it up and seeing where it breaks). This ink too loose for litho, so basically you'd want to add a TON of Magnesium Carbonate to thicken it up. It's probably fine as it is for relief prints (relief is hard to mess up, so most ink is fine as is). If you wanted to do mono prints or paint the ink onto your plate it would need to be much looser so you'd need to add linseed oil and/or a little (ONLY A LITTLE) bit of Isopar-G. Although, my friend's hippie chemical free school would probably just add laxatives... er... glycerin to it. I don't know how they do anything without Isopar. Lots of baby wipes, I guess.

The school I went to really did have posters that said that hanging up (although it was with pictures of Freddy Krueger). What you're supposed to do is scrape ink from the top; gouging it exposes more of the ink to air, which makes it dry out faster. So uh... Don't do it.
